The second course of the trail series is located at the San Angelo State Park, starting at the Chaparral Pavilion. This course is mostly dirt trails, with some rocks occasionally on the hills.
Where do I go?
The second trail series race is at the San Angelo State Park. Clicking this link will show you exactly where we'll be set up.
Directions: From the new HEB (at the intersection of Southland and Sherwood), head north on Farm To Market Rd 2288. After you pass over Arden Rd, travel another 0.7 miles and you'll see signs for the San Angelo State Park South Shore Entrance on the right. Enter the park here. If you get to the Highland Range Estates entrance, you've gone too far. After you turn, keep going until you get to the booth. After the booth, you should travel 0.7 miles and turn left. There will be a sign that says "TRAIL SERIES" with an arrow. After the left turn, take a left at the fork and you'll find us.
State Park Fees
Runners do not have to pay the $4 fee to get into the park: we'll be paying everyone's fee at the end of the race, since it's included in your entry fee. However, anyone that is not running will need to pay $4 at the booth when entering the park. If you have a Texas State Park Pass, you will just need to show that card.
What does the course look like?
This time, the 5K course and the 12K short are quite different, so there are two different sets of pictures. It's possible that we have to change the course slightly due to all the rain last year, but these maps should be very close.
