Awards
Races are chip timed and all awards are based on gun time. That is, the time from when we say "GO!" to when you cross the finish line. Your chip time (the time from when you cross the start line to when you finish) may be available for your reference, but it will not be used for any scoring or awards.
Finisher Medals: Finisher medals will be given out at each race to each finisher. No finisher medals will be given after or before/after race day: you must finish the race on race day to earn one.
ALL AWARDS ARE ONLY GIVEN AT RACE THREE: THERE ARE NO AWARDS AT RACE 1 OR RACE 2. AWARDS ARE BASED ON TOTAL TIME FROM ALL THREE RACES.
Series Scoring: Starting in 2027, series scoring is based on TOTAL TIME of all three races: your times from all three races will be added together to get your time for series awards.
Series Age Group Awards: Age group awards are given only after the third race. You must finish all three races with the same course (short or long) to be eligible for awards. Awards are based on the total time of all three races.
Age groups are: 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, 90-99, 100+
What if I am not able to make a race?
If you miss a race, then you are not eligible for awards. You will still get the finisher medal for each race you complete.
Can someone win both the overall award and also get an age group award?
No: if you are given an overall award, you are not eligible for an age group award.
Can I change my distance?
Yes, just please let us know! However, you will not be eligible for awards if you do not run the same distance (long or short) for all three races.
Can I get my finisher medal if I don't run the race?
No. Finisher medals will only be given out at the finish line on the day of the race. There is no virtual option for this event.
